Tina Ochoa is a passionate servant leader, dedicated to educational equity and family and community engagement. She brings over 15 years of experience leading innovative and transformative initiatives aimed at enhancing the educational achievement of underserved and marginalized students spanning the K-13 continuum.
In her current capacity as Managing Director of Community Partnerships, for Citizen Schools, Tina offers a wealth of experiences garnered through her multifaceted roles within statewide and national organizations. Her extensive responsibilities have included strategic and operational leadership; fund development; creation and design of culturally relevant curriculum, resources, and training; program administration and expansion; staff management and development; fostering collaboration among schools, districts, families and communities; serving as a juvenile probation officer with the Arizona School Safety program; and social justice and equity advocacy.
Tina’s also held management and leadership positions with nonprofit and state organizations including the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services and Education, the Center for Civic Education, the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence, and Families In Schools. Tina is a graduate of the University of Arizona and has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Sociology.
