Attendance Works is a national organization dedicated to improving the policy, practice and research around attendance. Its website offers materials, research and success stories about reducing chronic absence.
Center for Supportive Schools develops, disseminates, and promotes peer leadership, advisory, and other evidence-based K-12 solutions that enable and inspire schools to more fully engage students in learning, better connect students to their schools, motivate and equip students to make decisions responsibly, and accelerate academic achievement. The Center is driven by the vision that one day, all children will thrive in schools that graduate them prepared for the rigors of college and lives filled with meaningful work, active citizenship, and personal fulfillment.
Everyone Graduates Center combines analysis of the causes, location, and consequences of the nation’s dropout crisis with the development of tools and models designed to keep all students on the path to graduation. That includes tracking of early warning indicators, including chronic absence. The National Success Mentors Initiative Implementation Guide & How Tos was created for districts, schools, team captains and school partners to help implement the My Brother’s Keeper Success Mentor and Student Support Initiative.
MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership is the unifying champion for expanding quality youth mentoring relationships in the United States. For more than 25 years, MENTOR has served the mentoring field by providing a public voice, developing and delivering resources to mentoring programs nationwide, and promoting quality for mentoring through evidence-based standards, innovative research and essential tools. Its National Mentoring Resource Center is a comprehensive online resource hub that provides information about evidence-based practice in the mentoring field to improve the quality and effectiveness of mentoring programs and relationships across the country. It features free resources and information, including mentoring tools, program resources and information, and training materials.
National Summer Learning Association (NSLA) is the only national non-profit focused on closing the achievement gap by increasing summer learning opportunities for all youth. NSLA offers expertise and support for programs and communities and advocates for summer learning as a solution for equity and excellence in education. NSLA’s vision is that all children and youth have access to high-quality summer learning experiences to help them succeed in college, career and life.
